New Zealand introduced some twists in its immigration policies

Around 5,000 migrants who had applied for the New Zealand moved towards Auckland after getting the PR.  The new move made by the government of New Zealand regarding some changes in the immigration rules will steer immigrants to other regions. As it has promised to grant extra points for the residency if the migrants work in other regions other than Auckland.

This new move by the government of New Zealand has already ensured that the migrants can reach the threshold of 100 points if they go towards other regions. The 100 points threshold is compulsory for submitting the application for the residency.

New Zealand Immigration Minister Michael Woodhouse told that there are some job roles that are getting hard for filling in the regions; the migrants will get the job and the benefits in these regions.

Skills immigrants including the visitors and the students are being welcomed in New Zealand. The government’s statistics regarding immigration has revealed that there is an 8% hike in the visitors influx to the New Zealand based on the skills. There is demand for skilled laborers in many regions of New Zealand, and with this new, New Zealand would see some increase in the immigration in those regions. Most of the migrants who seek permanent residency are mostly from China, India and Germany, and they come here along with their work visas.

It was also revealed that the approvals for the visa has also been increased for the overseas students by around 16%,  and the visitors who came here were 1.49 million in numbers which is 11% high compared to previous year. 

Steve McGill, New Zealand, acting head of Immigration said that the region has got the increased population of about 6,400 in the year 2014-15. And it has been seen an increase in the arrivals since the year 2011. There has been increase in the number of students by 20% compared to previous year.
