Ontario conducted a recent Skilled Trades Stream draw on March 21 and also invited 361 aspirants of Express Entry, to seek the provincial nomination. The candidates had to submit their EE profile between Mar 21, 2018, and Mar 21, 2019, for receiving these invitations. After this draw, the number of Ontario invitations under this Stream in 2019 is 732.
Ontario Skilled Trades Stream
Additionally, in this Stream, the OINP searches the pool for the candidates belonging to the FSWC as well as to Canadian Experience Class, presently residing in different areas of the province. The eligibility norms of the stream specify that the candidate has to possess work experience (full-time) of one year (or an equivalent experience part-time). Furthermore, it must be in the skilled activity in Major Group 72, 73, or 82 or Minor Group 633 in the NOC of Canada.
The candidates do not require having a job offer to submit an application in the Stream. They also have to meet all the requirements as per the federal/provincial specifications of the Program.
Requirements
• A profile in the EE pool (federal) that is valid,
• Eligibility for the CEC
• An intention to migrate to Ontario or to All Territories/ Provinces in the EE profile
• Receiving Ontario NOI through the IRCC online account
These candidates who receive the invitation in this Stream can seek the provincial nomination. The successful candidates also receive 600 CRS score points to get a guaranteed invitation to applicants seeking the Canadian PR in a later draw.
