In an attempt to improve the processes involved in the visa application mechanism, the Royal Danish Embassy in New Delhi is keen on and has decided upon a new and obligatory mechanism wherein travel agencies would have to receive formal recognition and permission  in the form of ‘accreditation’ for themselves.

Thus, the embassy has decided that beginning March 1, 2014, any applicant will have to go through only those travel agents who have been recognized as ‘accredited’ and who have been officially permitted by The Royal Danish Embassy in New Delhi to take applications of those applying for a visa at any one of the 5 VFS Danish Visa Application Centres in India. A complete list of those travel agents recognized as ‘accredited’ will be put up by the web site of the Embassy and VFS well before March 1, 2014.

The new announcement and declaration also states that those Travel Agents and/or Travel desks who are seeking accreditation are asked to contact the Royal Danish Embassy at their e-mail id.: [email protected].
