Libyan officials on Tuesday said, turkey is going to introduce new visa requirements for the Libyans. If this to be in effect, Libya would be further pushed into isolation, as Turkey remained one of the very few countries that allow Libyans without a visa.

Turkey has been a major tourist holiday destination for Libya citizens to seek peace and escape from the chaos and violent ridden country from the four years ousting of the Muammar Gaddafi.

Libyans have been struggling to get the visas for Arab or European countries, as many embassies had left the Tripoli due to the rival faction of the recognized government had seized the capital a year ago.

Turkey had notified to the embassy of Libya located in Ankara, that Libyan citizens will be required a visa to visit turkey from the September 25 onwards. The foreign ministry of turkey informed the Libyan embassy that it will revoke the agreement signed in 2009 to allow visa free entry to the citizens of both countries.

However, there has not been any immediate comment from the officials on this matter.
