Many firms are wishing that the immigration policy shall be relaxed so as to recruit the skilled IT workers more easily from outside the EU.
A surprise announcement was made on Friday by the government saying that the new visa scheme for the digital companies will be offering four new ways for importing the IT skilled non EU citizens.
According to an official, from 12th November, the application process will be opened for the four new ways which has been created as a result of feedback from the IT sector.
The first visa provision is designed for helping the UK companies in importing the technical knowledge in the areas like cyber security and development.
The second provision is the criterion which is aimed at opening the path to a broad base of talent from outside of the EU. And to the workers who the UK companies want as they show promise.
The third provision for the visa is for procedure of fast track applications for the firms located in around seven cities of the North England, for adding the 17,000 people who are already working in the IT hub of the region.
TECH North which is also the sister company of the Tech City UK, that launched four new routes for IT visa will be helping the companies in the seven cities that wish to hire from abroad.
Aiming at the UK companies that require all the teams of skilled non-EU IT workers, this fourth provision of the visa is for letting the groups of five workers to apply for the permits all at one time.
Talking about the four provisions to the visa level, Communication Minister, Ed Vaizey, told that they will help the digital companies to import the best and the brightest techies.
