UK Immigration Minister meets Indian students in Bangalore

James Brokenshire, Immigration Minister of the UK, has met few Indian students for finding out their views on the study in the UK and its education system. The Minister’s visit was organized with British Council.

UK Immigration Minister, who is presently in India for a five-day visit, met key UK visa clients from different sectors like business, travel and education for getting the idea of how they utilize the services of visa.

In a round table discussion with 15 students, they were asked about their consideration while choosing a university and while deciding whether or not to study abroad.

The Immigration Minister mentioned the strengths of UK education and that the UK is place where there are well recognized and most respected universities of the world.

According to the UK Immigration Minister, India remains to be one of the biggest and most significant visa market. He said that he was listening to students for gaining a good understanding of how the immigration policies of the UK work for them when they are applied.

He also told that he got the positive chance to speak with the students for finding out how the students view the UK education about the immigration policies of the UK, put an impact on their decision of pursuing education at the University of the UK.

He goes on saying that, the government of the UK is eager to more students from India at some of the world-class universities, and they would get a warm welcome. The visa policies of the UK is supporting this target, and the UK continues to get excellent offers for students. Almost every student gets the visa, and top graduates could reside in the UK after completing their education if they got a graduate level job.
