UK's Visa Application Center will be launched in Kingston on 06th March, 2014, and it will be very helpful for all the willing persons who want to visit United Kingdom.
The regional partner of VFS global will operate the new facility available at Kingston, under a contract offered by the UKVI (UK visas and immigration).
According to a recent media release, the High Commission of Britain said that while the fee for the visa remains the same, additional assistance provided at the Visa application center can be availed at an additional cost. The payment for these services can be made online.
The media release has also stated that UK’s Visa Application Centre will be exclusive to UK alone, and is allowed to accept the applications related to all categories.
Additionally the visa application center will also facilitate the interview process of the applicants.
As per the media release, all the applicants who are making their applications for Tier four (General) visa, will have to face an interview at the visa application center based on an appointment.
At the same time, the British High Commission restated that officials of the Home Office - UK Visas and Immigration are solely responsible to make a decision, whether the visa will be issued or refused. The decision making process will be in accordance with the UK’s rules and regulations of immigration. The High commission also stated that UK’s Visa Application Centre has got no role with regards to the result of an application.
The new facility, will provide additional services such as being suitably and conveniently located, having operating hours for a longer time , spacious and convenient waiting areas, very responsive and professional staff, etc. The centre will also have an exclusive website for easy and simple accessibility of information and the information therein will cover topics such as types of visas, eligibilities for applying, fees that are applicable for visa categories and the status of the application. There will be the facility of online submissions of the applications and online appointment, also, which will result in reduced waiting time at the Visa Application Centre.
The additional service offered by the VAC includes delivery of the passport, direct to home.
