US diplomat to China advocates study in overseas

Max Baucus, US ambassador to China, visited Shanghai to deliver visas to Chinese students from the region dealt by US consulate in Shanghai. Six students who intend to visit USA in the month of August were presented with visas.

The US consulate in Shangai is dedicated to provide best visa services to the nationals of Shangai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui provinces. They provide excellent services to aid person-to-person exchanges for tourism, education business and visiting families etc.

The consulate dealt with over 415,000 visas in 2013. Non-immigrant visas dealt in China constituted over 14 percent of applications globally out of which mission China has issued over 246,000 student and visitor visa applications to Chinese nationals in 2013 representing an increase of 13.7 % when compared to last year.

Baucus said that pursuing studies overseas can realize one’s goal and help them to become leaders in various fields. Such practices will aid them to know a lot and boost the mutual relationship between US and China.
