130th Express Entry Draw Invites 3,600 Candidates to Seek Canadian PR

The System is Progressing Rapidly

The system Express Entry manages the candidates’ pool for three Federal immigration categories to attract top skilled persons in Canada that are:

• Canadian Experience Class

• Federal Skilled Trades Class

• Federal Skilled Worker Class

All the Eligible candidates get a ranking in the pool based on their CRS score after points for age, work experience, education, proficiency in English/French factors. There is no compulsion to have a job offer for being eligible to get the Express Entry ITA.

A specific number of top ranked candidates get the invitation to apply seeking permanent residence in regular pool draws of Express Entry, taking place every fortnight. There were 3,600 ITAs in this draw and now IRCC is short of 14,500 ITAs to reach the invitation record of 2018 at 89,800.

Great Hopes from IRCC

Also there was an expectation that IRCC will exceed the record set in 2018 ITA owing to the admissions target for categories of Express Entry in economic immigration and also in the Provincial Nominee Programs for 2019/2020.

Also there was the use of tie-break in the draw set at October 8, 2019, at 10:46:01 UTC. As a result all candidates who had CRS score of 472 and more than it received ITA, when there was a profile in Express Entry by them, before the specific date and time.

Provincial Nominee Streams Linked to Express Entry

For the Candidates with the lower scores than the cut-off threshold, there are options, for improving their status, and getting a provincial nomination in the enhanced nomination stream.

The Candidates in Express Entry with provincial nominations get 600 extra CRS points and are also assured of the invitation seeking the Canadian permanent residence.
