British Columbia Conducts PNP Tech Pilot Draw - Issues 57 Invitations

In The Tech Pilot the, British Columbia offers speeded up processing in Pilot draw to target 29 IT occupations on September 10.  British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program issued 57 invitations in existing BC PNP streams. All four streams of Skilled Workers, International Graduates, EEBC – Skilled Workers and finally EEBC – International Graduates in the draw needed a score of 90 points.

The previous provincial draw was the largest held in 2019, and it issued 546 invitations to the candidates. In The September 4 BCPNP draw there was a drop in four streams in the minimum scores. Additionally the province has at present issued a jointly 1,073 invitations in the last two draws.

The score requirements were 93 points in direct skilled stream and 96 points for the skilled worker stream linked to Express Entry.  International graduates of the direct stream needed 98 points, international graduate linked to Express Entry stream needed 100 points. The semi-skilled and Entry level candidates had to score 77 points.

The Pilot was extended to 2020 after it was launched in 2017. It now offers 29 target occupations and its duration requirements are relaxed.

After the provincial nomination there is an effective guarantee of selection in the Canadian Express Entry. Additionally 600 CRS points enhance the province publishes the scores necessary for the immigrants to get the invitation for Canada in its various programs. For the international graduates the need is 30 points lower than the skilled workers in Canada Express Entry and also in the provincial streams. It is also lower for semi-skilled and entry-level workers.
