British Columbia Invites 187 Candidates in Five PNP Streams

British Columbia invited international graduates and skilled workers for applying to seek immigration in the new provincial nominee program draw conducted on May 7th. 187 invitations were issued to candidates in five BC Provincial Nominee Program streams in this draw. There was no change in the Minimum scores in comparison to the previous draw held a fortnight ago.

The Details

The points-requirement for direct provincial skilled workers and also for Express Entry skilled workers was 105 points. Moreover, it was the same for International graduates in the EE and in the direct provincial streams. It was 75 points for semi-skilled /entry-level workers.

In the previous BC draw, there was a focus on the 29 occupations of the BC PNP Tech Pilot.

64 invitations were issued in the draw held on April 30 in four BC Provincial Nominee Program streams.

The points-requirement for direct provincial skilled workers, and skilled workers, and for international graduates as well as for Express Entry skilled workers streams was 90.

The BC PNP Tech Pilot will also run in 2019. It was launched in 2017 and now covers 29 occupations with a set of modified duration requirements.

Furthermore, this PNP specifically aims to attract technology talents. Big names of the technology world have an association with the province.

After obtaining the nomination of the province there is a surety of selection in Express Entry System, with the addition of 600 points in CRS. It also publishes the scores necessary for the immigrants to score to obtain the Canadian invitation to immigrate.

This score for global graduates is 30 points below than for the skilled workers in EE and in its provincial stream. It is also comparatively lowered for semi-skilled workers and those at entry-level.
