According to some news reports, the Russian Federation and China (the People’s Republic of China) have signed/ratified an agreement for increased and better ties and association between the natives/citizens of the two countries.  This information was made available to a correspondent of ITAR-TASS, by the Russian embassy. The agreement also provides for visa-free travel for up to 30 days for citizens of those who are service passport holders.

The new agreement also allows for reciprocal trips for a varied category of citizens. In particular, those who participate in interstate cooperative projects can avail of multiple-entry visas which are valid for up to 2 years.

According to a spokesperson/representative of the Russian Embassy in China, the accord/agreement has been signed to ensure that a proper environment is developed for the growth and reinforcement/increase, etc. in ties between the leaders and participants of/in businesses, science, sport, etc.

Actually, agreements and accords for visa-free regimes are already in place between the Russian Federation and Hong Kong (Hong Kong Special Administrative Region) and the Russian Federation and Macao. Under these accords, citizens of Russian Federation can stay visa-free in Hong Kong for 14 days and for 30 days visa-free in Macao.
