The government of Canada saw more than twice Invitations To Apply for permanent residence in the last month. In October 2017, the invitations are issued mostly to Express Entry candidates in 2018 to 74,200, leaving just 11,823 invitations far from last year’s records of 86,023 ITAs.

Canada Express Entry Reaches 2017 ITAs Records With October Draws


IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) issued over 11,700 Invitations in the last month three draws last month, Its is more than twice the 5,558 Innovations To Apply's offered in October.

The FEE (Federal Express Entry system) maintains the candidates in the pool for 3 Federal High Skilled economic immigration programs in Canada—CEC (Canadian Experience Class), FSTC (Federal Skilled Trades Class), and (FSWC Federal Skilled Worker Class).

The candidates are selected through the CRS ranking system which decides their position in the Express Entry pool. The highest ranked applicants are offered Invitations to Apply with the regular pool draws. Canadian Express Entry program was launched in January 2015 and now it is one of the key drivers of economic immigration to Canada.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada Targets


Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) maintain the regular draw sizes of over 3,900 Invitations To Apply between now and end of the 2018. Currently, four out of five all Express Entry program draws were held since September 5, 2018.

IRCC has a target of 81,400 new permanent residents for 2019 with its FHS immigration category. This target is slated to increase to 85,800 ITAS in 2020 and 88,800ITAs in 2021 under the latest multi-year immigration levels plan of Canada.

Canadian Economic immigration would be responsible for the high number of applications to Canada under the latest immigration targets through 2019. Together, several economic immigration schemes will work for around 60% of all invitations to Canada, with Canada PNPs and Federal High Skilled alone working for 44% of total invitations by 2021.

Ontario Nominations Aid Express Entry Candidates


Total 9 Canadian territories and provinces are participating in the Canadian PNP and each province has minimum one stream which is connected to the FEES (Federal Express Entry system). The Provincial Nominee Program enables these regions to nominate economic immigration applicants for PRs every year.

Candidates those are from Express Entry with a provincial nomination will get more 600 points towards their CRS score and effectively travel to the province for an Initiation To Apply for Canada's PR.

Ontario, the largest province in Canada, has 3 Express Entry PNP streams which were answerable for 95% of the nominations offered by the OINP (Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program) in 2018 — 6,411 out 6,600 provinces allocated in 2018.

These streams — the HCPS (Human Capital Priorities Stream), FSSW (French Speaking Skilled Worker Stream) and STS (Skilled Trades Stream) allows the OINP to search for the skilled candidates who meet their eligibility norms and can integrate simply into the regions worker market.

The Senior partner of Canadian immigration law company in Montreal, David Cohen said that "2018 has been a big year so far for the Federal Express Entry, both at the provincial and federal levels, We have seen the huge growth that has raised Express Entry’s position as Canada’s leading choice for immigration candidates", he added.
