Canada to welcome record number of immigrants in 2016

Canada’s immigration system has been consistent since 1990 in welcoming foreigners to its land. According to the statistics, in 1913, 400000 immigrants arrived in Canada. The highest number of immigrants over the last decade was just 280000 in 2010.

The Government ran a campaign to populate the West Coast of Canada before the First World War. A record number of 1.1 million migrants were moved to coastal Canadian regions.

Canada is thriving with the progress of immigrants, and its massive annual immigration plan reveals its openness towards foreign nationals. Immigration plans welcome skilled immigrants, family class immigrants, and refugees.  Presently the plan channels skilled immigrants to the labor market.

We can see how immigration is being used as a tool for economic and cultural development in Canada.
