French Polynesia to ease visa terms to Chinese passport holders
The government of French Polynesian states that the visa requirements are likely to be removed for the individuals holding Chinese passport who are willing to stay for less than15-day period.
This initiative is in accordance with the plan of interior minister of french to let off visa for travelers from a set of countries.
The Territory Government is in favour of the new change that has come out to speed up the productive Chinese tourist market.
The Chinese people are supposed to book their tour via travel agents authorized by the consular authorities of French in China, in order to be eligible for the travel that is visa free to Tahiti. This change would come into effect in June as per the statement declared in Papeete.
Gaston Flosse, French Polynesian President, accepted the new policy stating that it is a pre-condition for few Chinese investors prior to investing in French Polynesia.
