Supporting India’s decision on its approach to WTO on the visa fee issue, Cisco Chairman John Chambers had said that the election time is the emotional and stressed time in the US and that the India would require showing some patience on the issue.

He also told that as the time of election is coming closer, and also understands that the move made by India is very logical.

Earlier this March, India had filed a complaint at the WTO against the decision from the US of imposing increased fees on temporary job visas. The visa fee boost would burden the Indian IT firms yearly by $1.4 million.

Chambers is also the Chairperson of the Indo- US Business Council, had said that the tie between the two countries stays strong.

India had raised concerns many times over the matter saying that the move would affect the IT professionals of India. India had urged for a discussion with the US under the support of the WTO for resolving the matter.
