Malaysia offers free visa to Chinese tourist groups

The Chinese tourist groups who are planning for a holiday in Malaysia can now allowed with visa free to the country from the October 1 onwards.

Wee Choo Keong, Malaysian tourism chairman, said that after a long wait of three months, the home ministry had approved the visa free facility that stipulates eight conditions to which tourists and tour operators abide strictly.

Chinese tourists set for visa free entry to Malaysia

As per the conditions, the free visa will be granted to the tourist groups from china that are travelling with tour operators that are registered with the ministry of tourism and culture.

It is granted to the tourist group that consists of at least 20 tourists with temporary pass/free visa with validity limited to 15 days entry into Malaysia without further extension, said wee.

Free visa will be granted to those who are travelling on a direct flight to Malaysia from China and have booked return flight tickets. Wee also said the approved entry points are Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Kota Kinabalu, Juching, Langwaki, Penang and Senai.

The tour operators who violate any conditions stipulated will be fined with RM 1500 per each tourist, Wee added.
