Saudi Arabia may enable visa entry without a need of sponsorship

No sponsorship requirement for overseas businessmen visiting Saudi Arabia

In a bid to lure foreign investment to the country, Saudi Arabia’s Shoura Council has pushed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to enable proven businessmen to enter the kingdom without the sponsorship from a national. 

According to the new proposal, Saudi may enable visa entry without a need of sponsorship. The Council advises the king on legislation as well as policy but has no authority to execute changes. 

According to the sources, It was also urged the ministry to organize with the Council of Saudi Chambers in order to conduct normal studies on the degree of satisfaction amongst the business visa holders.

Recording data on the experience, subsuming objections or suggestions, would assist the kingdom progress its business attractiveness as well as dealings, the council heard.

Currently, any overseas national visiting Saudi Arabia should be invited by a Saudi citizen, who acts as their sponsor. Visas are recognized to be complicated to receive.
