Taiwan exempts entry visa for Andorra, San Marino citizens
Taiwan has decided to exempt entry visa for locals of small European countries Andorra and San Marino effective 1 June 2014.
In order to build strong relations between EU and Taiwan, the country seems to have taken this decision, according to which Andorra, and San Marino citizens are allowed to visit Taiwan without a visa stay for a 90-day period.
Zhang Ming-Zhong, director-general of Foreign Affairs' Ministry of European Affairs, said that from 1 June 2014, the San Marino and Andorra citizens do not require a visa to visit Taiwan for a stay period of three months. He added that Taiwanese already have visa-free entry to Andorra and San Marino.
According to the ministry, at present a total of 45 countries have visa free privileges offered by the Taiwan, whereas the individuals holding Taiwan passports are allowed to enter 140 countries and territories without a visa.
