India has uttered concern over the US visa issue and had said that it is biased and would largely impact IT professionals in India.

During a joint meeting with the Trade Representative of the US, Ambassador Michael Froman, Finance Minister of India, Arun Jaitley had underlined the requirement of early conclusion of agreement of totalization that will gain Indian employees in the US.

Referring to visa matter, he told that India is concern over the visa fee issue of the US, which is biased and it is largely aimed at IT firms of India.

Jaitley has expressed eagerness of India on early completion of agreement of totalization with the US. as per industry predictions, the professionals from India had contributed over $25 billion to the social security of the US during the previous decade.

The US is into an agreement known as Totalization Agreement with many countries for the benefit of avoiding double taxation of earning with respect to the taxes under social security.

Under these, professionals from both the nations will be exempted from tax for social security when they leave to work for short time in other nation.
