UK gives out changes to Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) visa

James Brokenshire, The UK's immigration minister, has announced reforms to Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) visa that came into effect from 11 July 2014.

According to the new rules, students are allowed to transfer from Tier 4 to Tier 1if they could prove that their funds come from the approved source of the government and not from venture capitalists.

Besides, the applicants of Tier 1(Entrepreneur) must run their own business, which has to be granted with funds but not to the entrepreneur in person. Moreover, the applicant has to get registered as the director of the company.

Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) visa applicants must be signatory to business bank account, when UK visas and immigration requests a proof of it.

Moreover, Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) visa applicants have to present extra proof of their business activities and those who have not still started their business and do not have sufficient proof to prove their genuine business will not be allowed to switch from post study program to entrepreneur visa.
