India tops the list of the primary work visas issued to Australia

According to the recent information, it is said that Indians are on the top list of the ones who are receiving the temporary work visas to work in Australia.

As per the statistics provided by the Department of Immigration, out of total 457 visas granted in 2013, during the period of July to December, Indians have a share of 23 %. UK stood in the second place having 18.6 % share and Ireland stood at the third place having 7.9 % share.

Primary visas are issued for the locations of New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, Queensland, and Australian Capital Territory. Indians are on the top list to receive visa grants in these locations. But in Northern Territory and South Australia, India followed the next positions.

As per the statistical information by the end of December, 2013, there were 90,780 people in Australia who are primary visa holders. That is 8.3 % high compared to the last year, when UK topped.

Here are the dominant 3 industries for primary visa grants.

• Information technology and Media - 10.2%
• Food services and Housing facilities-12.9% 
• Other Services -14.0%

Out of the total visa grants, 5.7% of the grants were issued to the cooks. The second largest primary visa grants were to the Cafe or Restaurant Managers that is recorded as 4.4 % and the third largest visa grants were for the Developer Programmer which is about 3.1%.
