Indian Students Rushing to Canadian Campuses

Heavy rush for admissions to various Universities of Canada especially Indian students is clearly evident as per recent news reports. For instance, The University of Toronto alone is telling a statistic of 57% increase in requests which are turning out to be immigrant applications coming from India as per BBC report.

Recently, Canada's premier educational organisation - University of Toronto has reported a 20% jump in admissions flow from foreign students. Globally, students from various countries are now looking at Canadian institutions because of its country's lenient, generous and friendly image. The country is turning out to be a major destination for studies abroad due to these reasons.

A key person from the same University has recently said that, in addition to offering top-tier universities, Canada is sending a clear message about being "open to the world" which clearly shows the country's focus and where it wants to be.

In the middle of the political climate and few incidents in UK and US, there is a clear impact which is affecting around the world. This also makes people think again about other options - he said.

There are more than 350,000 global students in Canada - which is like 1% of total country's population. 8% of all global students who seek studies abroad find Canada as a major potential destination. They in-turn draw billions of dollars into Canada's economy.
