Canada express entry a new application management system to the foreigners who wanted to get permanent residence in Canada managed by citizenship and immigration of Canada, has released its mid-year on 31st July 2015.
According to the report provided by CIC, Indians have topped in the total number invitations received amounting to 2,687 representing 20.8 percent of invitations.
As of July 6, 2015, in the total express entry rounds conducted by CIC, about 112,701 foreign nationals have submitted their express entry profile and among those 12,017 were selected to and invited to apply for permanent residence in Canada.
Among the invited applicants from express entry pool, only 7,528 applicants actually have applied for residency status and 655 applicants were approved for residency by citizenship and immigration Canada.
Among the citizens of major countries, the top three countries representing are Indians represents top with 20.8% closely followed by Philippines (19.4 percent) and UK (7.4%).
The invitations are generally announced through express entry draw that CIC conducts twice in every month for the certain number of applicants in express entry pool.
In the every express entry draw, potential applicants are invited based on their merit and profile that includes work experience, age, education and language proficiency. Comprehensive ranking system (CRS) assigns the score to every applicant listed in the pool.
The highest scoring applicants who have more than assigned cutoff score under CRS will be allowed to apply for permanent residence. The Canada government, provinces and the employers are able to select the successful candidates.
The express entry offers to those applicants who meet the criteria assigned under the programmes federal skilled worker, Canadian class and federal skilled trades program will be accepted in the pool of candidates.
